I began snowboarding at age 6 at Mt Hotham. I’d spent a few years on skis already but my dad was keen to get me on a snowboard like himself. I learnt to snowboard wearing Sorel Caribou’s as there wasn’t any small enough snowboarding boots for kids around yet.
I clocked up the hours over years of school holidays spent at Hotham and began following the competition scene around Australia before being selected for the National Halfpipe team.
My first International competition was at 16 years old and I spent the next decade chasing my dream of competing at the Olympics. I was plagued with injuries throughout the years but finally achieved my goal and represented Australia at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
